For the month of April, the cadet of the month is Cadet Rowan Bates. His excellent attitude to all activities on Squadron and most recently his improvement during drill, has lead to him being a great example to other cadets on the squadron and being selected for this award. His high level of attendance has shown true dedication to the Squadron and we hope he maintains this as he continues with his cadet career. Well done Cadet Bates!
During 2016, 351 Squadron were the local Co-Op stores charity of the year. Holding this position meant we would receive a donation from the societies members after the year. On Thursday, we welcomed Julie Gasper, the Society’s Business Support Manager & a member of the local team into the squadron to present us with our cheque.
The money is raised through their membership scheme and members of the local branch add to the fund, as and when they shop. As a squadron, we were extremely please and overwhelmed by the amount that the society has raised for us. The total figure we received was £741! A tremendous amount that will enable us to continue to improve the opportunities of our cadets & support the local community further. The money will be going toward some new sports & adventure training kit, enabling our cadet to be able explore the outdoors, develop map skills & work towards their Duke of Edinburgh Award.
On behave of our officer commanding, Flt Lt Jon Evans RAF VR(T), all staff and cadets, we would like to say a huge thank-you to the society and its local members for gifting us this generous amount.
Our website has recently undergone a design overhaul!
Our website administrator has been extremely busy redesigning & updating our content to ensure it is up to date. The new design is fresh and a much easy design to read.
